Future Cop Lapd Game For PC Full Version
There are MANY older games that work great in Windows 7 & 8 that refuse to work in Windows 10. Could be how Windows 10 handles DirectX, but not even dgVoodoo (which has a DirectX emulator in it) does not help. If you are going to do a lot of retro Windows gaming, Windows 10 is really just terrible. Windows 7 64 is the absolute best OS and is fully supported until 2020. Go back to the light side of the Force my friends!
In the game, players assume the role of a pilot for the X1-Alpha, a robot designed to fight in the "Crime War" in Los Angeles in the year 2098. The X1-Alpha is a police vehicle that can transform between a fast, hovering pursuit vehicle, and a slower, full-fledged combat mecha.
Cited as an early MOBA game, Precinct Assault is an arena battle mode in which each player starts with a single base and can capture automated Turrets or Outposts across the map. The objective is to defeat one's opponent by purchasing and deploying Hovertanks to invade their main base. The game ends when one player's base is breached by either a standard or super-sized "Dreadnought" Hovertank. Players may also deploy defensive Helicopters or the "Flying Fortress" Superplane to assist in securing their perimeter, shooting down enemy tanks that come near the base. Single-player mode consists of fighting a computer opponent named "Sky Captain", whose in-game avatar is a Superplane, more powerful and advanced than the X1-Alpha. Two player mode is a competitive battle between two X1-Alpha robots. There are five different precinct assault areas with 10 difficulty settings (for single player); however the level "La Cantina" was not on the original PlayStation release, only being added later for the computer versions. There is also a bonus area, known as 'Bug Hunt', which is the same as the 'Proving Ground' level, except all objects have been made into creatures such as worms and butterflies, instead of Hovertanks and Helicopters. The Flying Fortress is now a bat, and the Dreadnought is a large, armored caterpillar. The level features an up-beat music track in comparison to the game's normal dark military music and "Sky Captain" is a dragonfly.
The game received favorable reviews on both platforms, according to the review aggregation website GameRankings.[6][7] In Japan, where the PlayStation version was ported and published by Electronic Arts Victor under the name Sōkō Kidōtai L.A.P.D. (装甲機動隊L.A.P.D.) on August 5, 1999, Famitsu gave it a score of 29 out of 40.[13]
In Crime War players take on eight missions in an attempt to rid Los Angeles of its most dangerous criminal elements. These include a rogue supercomputer, a gang of subterranean mutants and a group bent of arming an observatory. Over the course of the campaign players will travel to future versions of famous LA landmarks including Griffith Park and the La Brea Tar Pits. This mode is also interspersed with short cutscenes that are often humorous in nature, including X-1 Alpha making its own mark on the Hollywood walk of fame. This mode allows players to team up with a friend for split screen co-op over all the campaign missions. During the certain missions players will come across power-ups that unlock one of the three secret weapons.
The game runs very well with dgVoodoo (latest stable, mouse cursor seems better in WIP version) however, this is completely not possible to :- Edit sound/controller options, the new windows popups can't be launched in Escape menu- At startup, an alt+enter switch is required, may also be required when going in-game according to the game res (not sure at 100% for this one)- Mouse is slow in menu (although movement clarity is enhanced in latest WIP)
Works fine on QEMU 3Dfx in Windows 10 x64 with Win98SE guest. Just do not run the 3D card detection and modify the registry directly to select "voodoo". The version support high resolution rendering at 1024x768. Never had a PSX myself but I don't think PSX version would support that. I always prefer PC port of 3Dfx games, especially those with native 3Dfx Glide support.
While it's true EA realized the Strike games needed some changes to compete with today's Command & Conquer series, it also realized (thankfully) solid action will never take second place to multiple-objective missions. That's why Future Cop (formerly titled L.A.P.D. 2100 and, before that, Future Strike) is so much fun--it's C&C for itchy-fingered action morons.
No-CD & No-DVD Patch troubleshooting: The most common problem getting a No-CD/No-DVD patch to work is ensuring that the No-CD/No-DVD patch matches you're game version, because the games exe is changed when a patch update is applied previous versions won't work. 2ff7e9595c
